She recounted a past birthday celebration in London.
During the code, we celebrated a birthday with my closest friends and relatives with a small acoustic concert in the backyard garden in London, where neighbors were happy with such a private concert.

Another year, she and her loved ones explored london by bike.
On another provisional anniversary, we ride the wheels all over London – it was surprising to see this city so empty. Reflecting on the past year, Balan noted its productivity, marked by numerous concerts and significant debuts.
There was a debut with fantastic orchestras, the Helsinki Philharmonic, the BBC Concert Orchestra, also the first Japanese concert tour, a concert tour in Australia and also debut in the legendary Sidney Opera House with Sister Margaret Balan.

A highlight was her debut at the Royal Albert Hall in London with her sister.
It was an indescribable feeling to perform in the legendary hall where I was a listener before.

There was also one excellent episode: a peaceful lunch time when making tea at home, suddenly I got a message from an acquaintance in Switzerland – can I play a dvorcher violin concert? It turned out to be the violinist Isabelle FaustWho had to perform that evening did not feel well after the attempt. So I had to fly to switzerland the same day, try a concert with the Music Kollegium Winterthur orchestra once, after trying to prepare for half an hour and climb the stage. Another cherished memory is the “Balan Christmas Charity Master Class” she organized with her siblings for young Latvian musicians.

But this year I have twice enjoyed the summer heat – first for a three -week concert tour in Australia with Sister Margaret and Brother Robert, and later in Taiwan, where similar hot weather ruled.
