Rediscovering Freedom: Early Modern Dance Workshop in Lisbon
Lisbon, Portugal – Embrace the spirit of Isadora Duncan, the revolutionary figure known as the mother of modern dance,
in an upcoming workshop designed to explore the foundations of early modern dance. This immersive experience, led by world-renowned dancer Mary Sano, offers participants a unique opportunity to connect with the gestures, sensations, and imaginings that have shaped dance for over a century.
The workshop, suitable for adults of all levels, will take place from june 4-9, 2023, at the polo Gaivotas Cultural Center in Lisbon. Participants will delve into the techniques and choreographies that define Duncan’s legacy, experiencing both musical and expressive dance forms set to the gorgeous piano solos of Brahms and Chopin.
