GPs are seeing fewer and fewer people with flu-like symptoms, but the mild flu epidemic is not over yet, according to health institute Nivel. For weeks, the number of GP visits has been well below the “epidemic limit”: the experts have set this at 58 consultations per 100,000 inhabitants. In the past week, only 15 in 100,000 Dutch people with complaints that could indicate flu went to their GP.
Nivel reports that flu outbreak is subsiding at a low level.
