Tottenham Hotspur managed to qualify for the third Europa League. Certainty was obtained after defeating representatives of Bulgaria, Lokomotiv Plovdiv, with a score of 2-1.
At Lokomotiv Stadium, Thursday (17/9), Spurs immediately appeared to press. Son Heung-min almost opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, if his shot was not cleared by Plovdiv goalkeeper, Martin Lukov.
Spurs pressure continues. In the 11th minute, it is Steven Bergwijn’s turn to shoot which Lukov can anticipate. Giovani Lo Celso (17th minute) and Harry Kane (28th minute) also had a chance, but the execution of both was not yet on target. The first half ended in a goalless draw.

But catastrophe was here for Plovdiv. Birsent Karagaren rewarded with a second yellow card for touching the ball with his hands in front of his own goal in the 77th minute. Not to mention the penalty was executed, it was Dinis Almeida’s turn to be sent off because he got a straight red card.
Harry Kane, who ran as the executor, did not waste the opportunity. GOAL! Score a 1-1 draw.
Superior number of players, the Spurs are increasingly difficult to match. Finally, Plovdiv’s goal broke again in the 85th minute through Tanguy Ndombele’s kick after receiving Lucas Moura’s pass. Until the long whistle sounded, the score remained 2-1 for the Spurs.
