The cruise line Norwegian Cruise Line suffered a larger quarterly loss than expected due to the corona crisis. Overall, the loss for the past three months was $ 715 million (€ 603.7 million), the company said.
In the same period last year, the shipping company had made a profit of $ 240 million.
The drop in sales from 99 percent to $ 16.9 billion was also greater than feared by analysts. The holding’s total debt increased to $ 10.3 billion by the end of June.
Bookings are still below historic lows, Norwegian Cruise Line said. The industry is seeing increasing demand for the coming year, but the uncertainty remains.
