Rebel Wilson‘s new action-comedy, “Bride Hard,” is set to debut on PVOD platforms on July 18, with a streaming release on Hulu following on July 19.
The film, directed by Simon West, stars Wilson as Sam, a secret agent who finds herself demoted to a mere bridesmaid after prioritizing saving the world over her maid of honor duties for her childhood best freind, played by Anna Camp.The cast also includes Anna Chlumsky and Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
“Bride Hard” centers on sam’s opportunity for redemption when armed mercenaries disrupt the wedding, leaving her as the only one capable of stopping them. Despite its ensemble cast and action-comedy premise, the film has received largely negative reviews, currently holding a 15% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film is available for purchase or rental on Amazon starting July 18.
