The accident case involved students from the University of Indonesia (UI), M Hasya Attalah Syaputra, with a retired police officer with the initials ESBW, came to a final conclusion. Investigators at the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya have named Hasya a suspect in the accident that killed him.
The police concluded that the accident was caused by Hasya’s negligence. Meanwhile, a retired police officer is not considered the cause of the accident.

Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said the investigation into the UI student accident case was carried out according to procedures and prioritized objectivity. Trunoyudo said, the investigation process was also carried out scientifically.
