One family massacre took place in Mexico. A total of 7 family members, including minors, were horribly murdered by being shot in their homes.
As reported by AFP, Tuesday (07/05/2022), the murder incident occurred at a time when Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was focusing his tight control on security in his country.

The National Guard also confirmed the shooting. They said the victim belonged to a family who ran a butcher shop.
“They are a family that runs a chain of butcher shops,” a National Guard source told AFP on condition of anonymity.
For information, more than 340,000 people have died in the bloodshed since Mexico deployed the army to fight drug cartels in 2006. The government blames most of the deaths on gangs involved in crimes including drug trafficking, fuel theft, kidnapping and extortion.
Meanwhile, questions over Lopez Obrador’s security strategy have been raised since two Jesuit priests were murdered on June 27 at a church in the northern state of Chihuahua. Catholic leaders have joined the opposition in criticizing the government over security in the country.
