7-Eleven Store Stabbings and Subway: Violence Unleashed in New York

A man was stabbed in the back inside a 7-Eleven store in Midtown Manhattan yesterday morning, the NYPD reported.

The 51-year-old argued with a woman and a man unidentified people inside the store located on 8th Avenue near 37th Street, around 8:30 a.m. A surveillance video captured that the fight escalated and became physical, reported Pix11.

The victim was also repeatedly beaten and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police have not announced any arrests.

Hours before, Wednesday night, a 23-year-old boy was cut on the hand and forehead inside a subway station in Brooklyn, another episode in the recent eruption of violence in public transport.

Police said the victim was attacked at the 59th Street R line station around 7:30 pm when he tried to break up a fight. Corey Mitchell, 51, was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree assault, reported New York Post.
