7 Ambulance from the City Health Office of Tasik Hilir Mudik Evacuation of 33 Corona Patients to Rusnawa Unsil

TASIK CITY – The evacuation of 33 patients who were confirmed positive since Tuesday (29/09) afternoon began the Tasikmalaya City Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Team.

At around 16.45 WIB, 7 ambulances from the Tasik City Health Service (Dinkes) arrived at Rusunawa Unsil, Tamansari District.

From radartasikmalaya.com monitoring at the location, the 7 ambulances looked like a convoy of vehicles driving into the Rusunawa location. Each ambulance carried 2 patients who confirmed positive.

After lowering the patient who was confirmed positive, each ambulance was immediately sprayed with disinfectant by the BPBD officer.

About 3 ambulances brought the positive Covid patient without symptoms.

Head of the Tasikmalaya City Health Service (Kadinkes), Uus Supangat, said the evacuation was carried out because 49 special Covid-19 isolation rooms at Dr. Soekardjo Hospital were overloaded.

“This ambulance brings a confirmed patient to Rusunawa. This is according to the guardian’s instructions because our RSUD is already overloaded, “he told radartasikmalaya.com at the Rusunawa location.

Uus explained, the isolation room at Dr. Soekardjo Hospital should only accommodate patients with moderate to severe symptoms.

However, at this time all the isolation rooms in the hospital were fully occupied. When a patient has moderate to severe symptoms, the patient will have difficulty getting treatment.

“Currently, the conditions are full, so we open it in the flat for isolation of patients without symptoms and mild symptoms,” he explained.

Starting this afternoon, Uus explained, patients without symptoms or with symptoms who are being treated in the hospital will be transferred to Rusunawa Unsil in Tamansari

This is because the availability of isolation rooms at the hospital cannot be in full condition to anticipate the emergence of patients with symptoms receiving treatment.

Uus added, as a rule, positive patients without symptoms or with mild symptoms can actually carry out independent isolation.

However, doing self-isolation must also consider various other aspects.

“We have to calculate that there is no transmission that is not realized through independent isolation. Moreover, Tasik City is a densely populated area. It has the risk of transmission faster, “he added.

He emphasized, the Health Office had several times let patients without symptoms perform independent isolation. However, because awareness of implementing health protocols is still low, a family cluster has emerged.

It is feared that if independent isolation is carried out, family clusters will emerge. If this is allowed, it will become a community cluster and lead to micro-quarantine.

“In the end, if there is a micro quarantine, it will burden the budget more,” he said.

So, explained Uus, in the Unsil Rusunawa there were 80 available beds. However, only 50 of the beds will be used by patients. The rest will be used for health workers.

He hopes that the opening of the Unsil Rusunawa for isolation can accommodate Covid-19 patients in Tasik City. If the cases continue to increase, the City Government is ready to use the hotel to the sports arena in the Dadaha complex to serve as a place of isolation.

“The most important thing is that the community is served, the chain link can be cut maximally. If necessary, we use school. Because there is no face-to-face teaching and learning activities, ”he explained.
