Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Matchday first Champions League is over. Here are the records that were created in matchday first.

A number of surprises colored the first matchday of the Champions League. Starting from the defeat of Manchester United to Young Boys, the failure of Paris Saint-Germain, to the success of Bayern Munich to silence Barcelona.

Behind these results, created a number of interesting notes.

Here are seven astounding records on the first matchday of the Champions League, quoted from Opta dan ESPN:

1. Manchester United, reinforced by Cristiano Ronaldo, fired two shots in the match against Club Brugge. This number is the lowest record recorded by Manchester United in the Champions League since 2010/2011.

2. Two goals against Barcelona made Robert Lewandowski score consecutive goals in 18 matches. He scored a total of 28 goals in that period.

3. Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham scored against Besiktas at the age of 18 years and 85 days. This record breaks the record held by Kylian Mbappe.

4. Lionel Messi has made 150 appearances in the Champions League. He became only the third player outside of goalkeepers to achieve that appearance after Cristiano Ronaldo (177 games) and Xavi Hernandez (151). However, Messi’s 150th match record is not decorated with goals.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal against Young Boys. Young Boys are the 36th team that Ronaldo has managed to score against in the Champions League. This makes Ronaldo equal Messi’s record in terms of the most teams conceded in the tournament.

6. Barcelona have lost their first home game in the Champions League for the first time. In the previous 15 seasons, Barcelona had 14 wins and one draw.

7. Sebastien Haller is the first player to score two goals in the first nine minutes of the game. Heller also became the second player after Marco van Basten to score four goals in his Champions League debut.
