6,000 Telkomsel Telecommunication Towers Transported to Mitratel


Mobile operator Telkomsel and PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel) again adds to the transfer of ownership of 6,000 units telecommunication tower.

The transfer of ownership of the telecommunications tower is part of the signing of the Sale and Purchase Agreement (Sale and Purchase Agreement/SPA) between Telkomsel and Mitratel which was held in Jakarta on July 29, 2022.

The agreement between the two companies completes the corporate action to transfer ownership of telecommunication towers which were previously carried out in 2020 as many as 6,050 tower units. Overall, the total number of Telkomsel telecommunication towers currently owned by Mitratel has reached 16,050 units.

Hendri further added, as part of the agreement, Mitratel will implement services Internet of Thing (IoT) and Data Analytic Telkomsel to provide telecommunication tower operational management in real time and proactively optimize power consumption.

This partnership is expected to contribute more to reducing carbon emissions and their impacts. This is a form of commitment Telkomsel to the initiative Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG).

With this transfer of ownership of telecommunication towers, Hendri said, as a leading telco company, Telkomsel can further accelerate the strengthening of a more ideal corporate structure in ensuring the implementation of the three digital pillars that are currently being implemented.
