60 Million Consumers Warn Against AirPods Clones

From AirPods, you can copy the design, the features, and even the pairing with the iPhone … but quickly enough you understand why we paid a fraction of the price of the real ones. We realized this with these clones tested by us (read: AirPods: how copies imitate real ones).

60 Million Consumers wanted too experience these copies which flourish all the more easily when the AirPods are expensive (from 179 € to 279 €) and that they are popular. The results are catastrophic. Of the seven clones ordered – at prices ranging from € 20 to € 65 – only four arrived at the editorial office of the magazine. The rest were lost between China and France.

Once arrived safely, not without difficulty, the Liberty Play model (€ 65) did not work at all. The other three pairs, two THS i11s and a Padear Mini X3, have a “ calamitous »: Absence of aggressive bass and treble, and as a bonus an acoustic pressure of 10 db higher than the maximum volume authorized for the Mini X3.

Caution is therefore advised when one comes across what looks like good deals on low-profile e-commerce sites. Similarly, we must keep in mind that the “influencers” of social networks who recommend this or that copy are paid by these brands to say good things about it …
