“There are 554 new HIV cases from January to August 2022,” Bekasi City Health Bureau Secretary Nia Aminah Kurniati said on Wednesday (14/9).

To prevent the spread, Nia continued, her party has organized HIV counseling and testing for people at risk.
Nia also said her group held voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) on a mobile basis, for example in nightclubs. VCT is also provided during Car Free Day (CFD) activities.

“Mobile VCT goes to nightclubs, spas, salons and Mobile VCT to CFD businesses,” he said.
He added that the Bekasi City Health Bureau has also opened HIV counseling and testing services in 48 health centers and 45 hospitals across the city of Bekasi.
HIV / AIDS support and treatment services can be carried out in six hospitals in the city of Bekasi. Namely, Dr. Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Hospital, Elisabeth Hospital, Ananda Hospital, Perumnas II Health Center, Karang Kitri Health Center and Mustikajaya Health Center. [ray]
