5524 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours





5524 are the newly diagnosed persons with coronavirus infection in our country during the past 24 hours, 2 870 of them were detected by PCR, and 2655 – by rapid antigen tests. 71.42% of the new cases proven in the last 24 hours are of people who have not been vaccinated, according to the Single Information Portal – COVID-19.

A total of 38,427 tests were performed during the last 24 hours. Of these, 10,907 were PCR and 27,520 were antigenic. This is shown by the data of the National Information System.

The confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Bulgaria are currently a total of 770,001, of which 121,178 are active. 617,448 people were cured. 1684 of them have been registered in the past 24 hours.

A total of 4,790 patients with proven COVID-19 were admitted to hospitals. 509 of them are in intensive care units or clinics. The number of new patients in a hospital is 603, of which 82.92% have not been vaccinated, according to the Unified Information Portal.

At present, a total of 3,804,111 doses of vaccines against coronavirus infection have been administered in Bulgaria. 35,177 of them were applied during the past 24 hours.

The national information system shows that in our country the new coronavirus has been found in a total of 18,311 medical staff. 66 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours.

The death toll in which COVID-19 was confirmed is 31,375. A new 72 cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. 97.22% of the deceased were not vaccinated.
