546 infected in Braga and 180 in Famalicão. Minho with 1,421 confirmed cases

The epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health of this Friday comes with the approximate numbers of what are the reliable cases of infections by covid-19 broken down by municipality. There are 1,421 confirmed cases in Minho, 81 more than yesterday.

The numbers correspond to the data collected until midnight on Wednesday and can only hold about 79% of real cases.

Braga, with 546 (+25 than yesterday) confirmed cases, Famalicão with 180 (+12) and Guimarães with 174 (+13) are the municipalities in the Minho region most affected by the pandemic.

It follows Barcelos with 126 (+4), Viana do Castelo with 87 (+5), Vila Verde keeps 57, Arcos de Valdevez goes up to 34 (+2), Póvoa de Lanhoso keeps 25, Amares goes up to 24 (+3), Vizela rises to 20 (+1), Esposende to 26 (+5), Fafe rises to 23 (+7), Ponte de Lima rises to 17 (+1), Melgaço keeps 14, Vieira do Minho keeps 13, Monção keeps 11, Caminha goes up to 9 (+1), Celorico de Basto keeps 8, Paredes de Coura keeps 6, Cabeceiras de Basto goes up to 6 (+2), Valença keeps 6, Terras de Bouro keeps 6 and Vila Nova de Cerveira maintains 3 confirmed cases.

The rest of the Minho municipalities register less than 3 cases, some of which have not yet been infected, and are not included in the report for “reasons of confidentiality”.

435 dead nationwide

Today Portugal registers 435 deaths associated with covid-19, 26 more than on Thursday, and 15,472 infected (more 1,516), according to the epidemiological bulletin released by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

The epidemiological situation report, with data updated until midnight on Thursday, indicates that the North region is the one with the highest number of deaths (240), followed by the Center region (107), the Lisbon region and Tagus Valley (78) and the Algarve, with eight dead.

The bulletin today reports on two deaths in the Azores.

In relation to Thursday, when 409 deaths were registered, today there was an increase of 6.4% (plus 26).

According to data provided by the DGS, there are 15,472 confirmed cases, plus 1,516, which represents an increase of 10.9% compared to Thursday.
