500 thousand doses of the second component of Sputnik V arrived from Russia – Télam

A new shipment of vaccines from Moscow with 500 thousand doses of the second component of Sputnik V arrived to continue completing the vaccination schedules against the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and Argentina exceeded 81.6 million doses received since the start of the pandemic.

The half million doses arrived at the Ezeiza International Airport at 20.20 on the flight AR1063 of Aerolneas Argentinas, which had departed this morning from the Russian capital.

The shipment adds to an important flow of shipments from different supplier laboratories that were received this week.

Thus, between Thursday and Wednesday, 1,625,130 doses of Pfizer arrived, while 960,400 AstraZeneca vaccines donated by Spain arrived on Tuesday.

In this way, since the beginning of the Strategic Vaccination Plan against Covid-19, the country will have received 81,639,985 doses of vaccine. Of this total, 14,683,210 correspond to Sputnik V (10,125,655 from component 1, and 4,557,555 from component 2), and 4,759,625 to Sputnik V produced in Argentina by Laboratorio Richmond (1,179,625 from the first component, and 3,580,000 of the second).

To the AstraZeneca signature correspond 24,265,400 doses (580,000 from Covishield; 1,944,000 received by the Covax mechanism, 18,989,000 from AstraZeneca and Oxford whose active ingredient was produced in Argentina; 2,202,800 donated by Spain, and 549,600 by Canada ). Meanwhile, 30,000,000 correspond to the Sinopharm laboratory, 3,500,000 to Moderna donated by the United States, 600,000 to Cansino and 3,831,750 to Pfizer.

According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, Until this Friday, 64,268,659 doses were distributed throughout the territory, while applications total 55,220,143. In turn, 30,866,554 people started their scheme and 24,353,589 completed it.
