5 Uplifting Moments in Latin Music This Week (June 27)

From career milestones and new music releases to major announcements and more, Billboard editors highlight the latest news buzz in Latin music every week. Here’s what happened in the Latin music world this week:

“Who Knows” turns 2

Natti Natasha celebrated two years since the release of her first solo track “Quien Sabe.” The bachata tune was featured on Natasha’s debut album Illuminati with which she scored her first top 10 on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums chart logging the biggest week for an album by a woman since 2017.

Ozuna’s sweet performance

Surrounded by all things sweet, from popsicles to cotton candy, Ozuna performed his recently-released single “Caramelo” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. For the other half of his performance, he performed the chart-topping Black Eyed Peas-assisted “Mamacita.”

On the charts, “Caramelo” becomes the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter’s first top 10 debut of 2020, and his second new top 10 of the year overall. “Caramelo” sits at No. 7 on the Hot Latin Songs chart (dated June 27) and joins his earlier top 10, “Mamacita” with Black Eyed Peas and J.Rey Soul, which holds at No. 3.
