However you want to interpret it, to quote Ennio Flaiano, it has been a while that many parliamentarians of the Movement when they see a post from the founder are no longer impressed and say “A marzia ‘, te scansi?”. It is also for this reason – due to the lack of political leadership and the tarnishing of that of the founders – that the Movement is breaking up irreparably, with a hemorrhage that risks creating a second large group.

The numbers of dissidents
If there were 15 no in the Senate, in the Chamber it went worse: 16 no, 4 abstained, but also 12 absent. A group of about thirty dissident deputies, who reduce the ranks of the Contian majority and risk an implosion of the Movement. Meanwhile, the rebels are planning counter-moves. At the announcement of the expulsion, Barbara Lezzi, followed by Nicola Morra, explains: “I am applying to be part of the M5S steering committee (from which I am not expelled)”. But the Statute, in article 11, states that whoever is expelled from parliamentary groups is also expelled by the Movement, and vice versa. Crimi is inflexible. the Board of Arbitrators seemed to want to wait for the new directory before deciding, but instead announced: “We will meet tomorrow (today, ed) to make a decision”.
Some of the dissidents are oriented to appeal against expulsions. Others, like Matteo Mantero, to “bolt” to the seat. Who is outgoing, does not know where to go. Not everyone would like to join the same group. There are those who are attracted by the Italexit of the former M5S Gianluigi Paragone. And who, like Morra, probes Lorenzo Fioramonti, who has been working for an environmental group for some time.

The role of Casaleggio
Davide Casaleggio also enters the game, maneuvering Rousseau’s strings and now in an open duel with Grillo. For Rousseau, as for Lezzi, Crimi is no longer in office, given that the amendment to the Statute has been approved. Grillo immediately denied it. And now, coincidentally, many of the expelled ones – among them Morra – are asking for the measure to be put to the vote on Rousseau, with unpredictable consequences.
Meanwhile, the leader in pectore of the dissidents, Alessandro Di Battista, announces a live for tomorrow that resembles a descent into the field: «There are things to say. Political choices to defend. Questions to be answered and a healthy and robust opposition to be built ».

The knot of the symbol
First, there would also be a series of rather complicated knots to untie. Like the symbol. Which belongs to Grillo and his Association in 2012, but was loaned to the M5s Association in 2017, in which Luigi Di Maio and Casaleggio are founders (Grillo was only guarantor). Whose is it now? And what will happen with the new leadership? Are you sure that in the end Grillo doesn’t prefer a political leader, or primus inter pares, perhaps Luigi Di Maio? Or maybe that Giuseppe Conte is still undecided between his list, the role of federator and joining the M5s? “Be the political leader, not the federator,” is the advice of his former spokesman Rocco Casalino.
