5 mistakes you make when taking antibiotics

They weaken your immunity, destroy your intestinal flora, in time, you can develop resistance to them. But some side effects are amplified by the mistakes you make in administration.

1. Take antibiotics when not appropriate

If you get a temperature, if you have a cold and feel very bad, you think that the rescue consists of a powerful medicine – the antibiotic. But these pills have no effect in the case of a viral infection, they can only make you sick. It is impossible to take them as a precaution.

2. Keep the remaining pills from an older treatment and take them when you think you need them.

Wrong! It is not for nothing that these medicines are given with the doctor’s recommendation because only he knows what suits you best. A bacterium that has caused otitis requires a different antibiotic than one that, for example, has caused a urinary tract infection.

3. You are not protecting your stomach

Antibiotics destroy, in addition to bad bacteria, the good ones in the stomach. If you administer them without gastric protection, you risk heartburn and acid reflux, pain, nausea, weakened immunity. During this period, you can consume teas with a calming, healing effect, such as chamomile and marigold. Eat natural yogurts, because they restore the intestinal flora, but 2-3 hours after taking the pills.

4. Discontinue treatment when you feel better

At the first signs of disease relief, you think that from now on your body can fight on its own. But it’s not like that. Bacteria will not be eradicated, will develop strains resistant to those antibiotics, the disease will recur and will be even harder to treat.

5. Do not respect the administration schedule

It is not for nothing that some medicines are taken at 6 hours, others at 8 or 12 hours. Because they have different powers, and a constant flow of antibiotic substance must be maintained in the body.
