When is the 2020 November event?
According to the most recent rumors Apple will host its last keynote of the year on November 17. The iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch have had their time in the spotlight and now it’s time for the Mac and accessories. We expect to see this during the event.
1. Apple Silicon-MacBooks
What the iPhone 12 was to last week’s Apple event will be ARM Macs for the keynote in November. During WWDC, Apple unveiled its big plans to bypass Intel and start making processors for Macs itself. After the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, Macs will soon be running on chips designed by Apple.
The first copy of this would appear this fall: a new version of the 12-inch MacBook. This compact Mac hasn’t been updated for years, but would get a second life with the arrival of Apple Silicon.
We secretly hope that Apple will use this moment to also revamp the design of the MacBook. After all, the company’s laptops have looked the same since 2016. Is this when we start seeing Face ID in a Mac?
2. macOS Big Sur release
While all of Apple’s devices have now had an update, Mac users are patiently waiting for it macOS Big Sur. This major update introduces a new design to the software and will be the first to work with Apple Silicon Macs.

3. AirTags
We had secretly hoped for it during the iPhone 12 event, but we have to wait a bit longer for the Bluetooth trackers from Apple. The AirTags are small circular devices whose location you can see on other Apple devices. Hang one on your key ring and you can always see where they are in the ‘Find My app’.
You can bet we’ll see the AirTags in November. Especially now that all new iPhones and Apple Watches are also equipped with the U1 chip, which make determining a location even better. That could make the AirTags a relatively affordable gift idea for the holidays.
4. AirPods Studio
The ‘one more thing’ announcement of that evening could just be the AirPods Studio could be. The over-ear headphones have the same ease of use as the AirPods, but delivers much better sound. For example, the Studio has smart ear detection, so it doesn’t matter how you put the headphones on your head.
According to the most recent rumor, the Studio would have run into production problems, which caused a release in 2020 is in jeopardy. Although Apple can unveil the headphones during the November event, chances are we won’t be able to put them on our heads until the beginning of the new year.
5. More MagSafe accessories
Of iPhone 12models introduce a new way of connecting accessories to the device with MagSafe. From cases to chargers, Apple has launched a new type of iPhone accessories.
We therefore expect Apple to draw attention to this during the November event: especially because the iPhone 12 mini in iPhone 12 Pro Max are in stores around that time.
