Pedro Meza,a 50-year-old gardener,died in July 2024 after being shot by officers from the San Gabriel Police Department following a brief pursuit. The incident occurred in Rosemead, a city in Los Angeles County.
According to the legal complaint filed by Meza’s family, officers attempted to stop Meza for a traffic infraction, leading to a six-minute pursuit that ended when Meza stopped his vehicle.
