4117 new registered cases of infection in the last 24 hours

In the last seven days, an average of 3,687 corona infections have been registered per day.

The corresponding average seven days ago was 2,642, so the trend is rising.

On Monday, 295 corona patients were hospitalized. That was 33 more than the day before.

82 of the patients are in the intensive care unit, and among them 47 are on a respirator. There are 14 more on intensive care and two more on a respirator compared with the day before, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview.

At midnight on Tuesday night, 8.6 million corona tests had been performed in this country since February last year.

A total of 289,611 people tested positive.

To date, 4,247,526 people have received the first dose of the coronary vaccine, 3,855,428 people have received the second and 738,872 have received the third dose.

A total of 1,096 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. Whether patients have died of or with covid-19 is not always possible to establish.

59.7 percent of all deaths have reached the age of 80. In the age group under 50, 23 deaths have been reported in Norway.
