Football sports Tokyo 2020 Olympics have entered the semifinals. Here are the four countries that survived.
Tokyo Olympics football has entered the end of the tournament with the semifinals, bronze and final matches remaining this week.
In the semifinals, Mexico will face Brazil while Japan will duel against Spain. The semifinal match will take place on Tuesday (3/8).
The following is a profile of the four countries that survived in the Tokyo Olympics soccer semifinals:
1. Mexico
Mexico proved they have a competitive team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and have a chance to repeat success at the 2012 London Olympics. At the 2012 London Olympics, Mexico managed to come out as champions at the end of the tournament.
At the Tokyo Olympics, Mexico could beat France in the preliminary round even though they had to settle for runner-up in the group under host Japan.
Mexico’s appearance was more convincing in the quarter-finals. Met South Korea, Mexico was able to end the game raining goals with a score of 6-3.
Sebastian Cordova and Henry Martin will be the mainstay of Mexico to appear biting in the semifinal match.

2. Brazil
Brazil is one of the teams with the strong ambition of defending the Olympic football gold medal. This ambition is clearly seen from the presence of a number of star players like Richarlison and Dani Alves.
Brazil escaped from the preliminary round with the status as group winners. Richarlison is currently the best goal machine with a score of five goals throughout the Tokyo Olympics.
However, Brazil must be vigilant. They had difficulty in the quarter-finals and only won 1-0 over Egypt.
