Indonesia is getting more and more aggressive in increasing supply Corona vaccine as one way to end the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, there are several efforts made by the Indonesian government to overcome the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine.

1. Red and White Vaccine

2. Vaksin Sinovac
Bio Farma is known to have conducted phase 3 clinical trials of the Corona Sinovac vaccine in Bandung, West Java. This clinical trial is scheduled to run for 6 months and is targeted for completion in January 2021.
If we refer to the results of clinical trial results from the early stages of the Sinovac vaccine candidate, CoronaVac is able to induce the formation of antibodies and strengthen the immune system without any adverse side effects. Bio Farma targets this vaccine to be produced in the first quarter of 2021.
3. GX-19
Genexine, a biotechnology company from South Korea, is working with Kalbe Farma to develop a vaccine called GX-19. Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force Wiku Adisasmito stated that the GX-19 vaccine will be in clinical trials by the end of 2020.
“Genexine is developing the GX-19 vaccine and will carry out phase II clinical trials at the end of this year,” he said.
4. Sinopharm Vaccine
In a meeting with the G24 health technology company, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said Indonesia sent a team to monitor the implementation of the third phase clinical trial of the vaccine candidate in collaboration with Sinopharm G42.
The cooperation for the provision of the Corona vaccine will be carried out between Indonesia, G42, and Sinopharm.
“Cooperation in the context of monitoring the third stage clinical trial of the vaccine candidate from the Sinopharm-G42 collaboration is very important for the development of vaccine cooperation in the future,” said Retno.
