KONTAN.CO.ID – The special edition PlayStation 5 (PS5) console was released by the luxury goods company, Caviar. Unlike the PS5 in general, the console sold by Caviar is coated in gold weighing 4.5 kilograms.

PlayStation 5 verses “Golden Rock“It was sold for US $ 499,000 or around Rp. 7 billion. Because it is a special edition, the gold-plated PS5 was produced in limited quantities, namely only nine units.

Caviar itself is indeed known as one of the companies that often sells special edition modified devices wrapped in expensive materials, such as pure gold or luxury casings.

Although relatively expensive, the gold clad PS5 is claimed by many enthusiasts. The company said that until now there were 1,342 people competing for this special edition PS5.

The LA Lakers star, LeBron James, is said to be one of the people on the order list. There were also several other buyers, namely a well-known businessman from Russia and a businessman in IT from the United States who could not be identified.

The work on the Golden Rock console is said to have taken about four months. Caviar recruits a jewelry contractor who is a specialist in gold material to prepare the unit to be tested.
