Requested to provide assistance to a woman victim of domestic violence, the gendarmes of Estrées-Saint-Denis (Oise) finally discovered on a arsenal. Or 36 weapons of all calibers!
On January 14, the soldiers made this discovery as part of a search of the house of an elderly couple in Orvillers-Sorel (Oise). Called by a retiree, who claims to fear for her life following domestic violence, they go there. The husband, 71, first disappeared, then “Was arrested a few minutes later, in the immediate vicinity”, says the Gendarmerie de l’Oise.
Thirty weapons illegally detained
Safety, the woman then evokes the presence of six weapons declared in the house. The search of the gendarmes of the Estrées-Saint-Denis territorial brigade reveals six times more. “We discovered 36 weapons, ranging from rifles to rifles to handguns. Thirty are illegally detained. More than 400 cartridges accompanied this collection ” specifies Captain François Parézys of the Compagnie de Compiègne on The Parisian.

Man placed under judicial supervision
A collector, the arrested man frequents garage sales and flea markets. Accused of domestic violence and illegal possession of firearms, he was taken into custody for 48 hours. The septuagenarian escapes pre-trial detention but will, from the month of February, answer for his acts before the court of Compiègne. Placed under judicial supervision, he was prohibited from coming into contact with his wife and returning to the marital home.
