$ 34 billion cost overruns in PAE during the pandemic

The Comptroller’s Office warned this Sunday in a statement about alleged cost overruns of more than $ 34 billion in PAE contracting during the pandemic.

It involves 30 alerts and the opening of four preliminary inquiries for $ 6.074 million.

It also warns about the hiring of the PAE in 16 municipalities of Antioquia, among which Medellín stands out, with contracts in doubt for $ 11,246 million; Bello ($ 924 million), Rionegro ($ 839 million) and Turbo ($ 816.

In Cundinamarca it is warned about hiring of the Department for $ 2.474 million; in Risaralda for $ 944 million and in Pereira for $ 1,595 million and in Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, for $ 1,585 million.

“Within the framework of the concomitant and preventive control carried out by the CGR, the initiation of four preliminary inquiries for alleged cost overruns amounting to $ 6,074 million, involving contracting in the municipalities of Chía, Cundinamarca ($ 3,771 million); Medellín, Antioquia ($ 2,224 million); Zipaquirá, Cundinamarca ($ 43 million); and Arboletes, Antioquia ($ 34 million), ”the document reads.
