TRIBUNJABAR.ID, PURWAKARTA – Accident pileup involving three vehicles going on Cipularang toll road.
The accident occurred at KM 90,500 B, in the District Sukatani, Purwakarta, Friday (14/8/2020) early morning.
As a result of this accident two people died.
Kasatlantas Polres PurwakartaAKP Zanuar Cahyo Wibowo said that the cause of the successive collisions was because it was suspected that the container truck driver with police number D 9455 AC had failed to brake and hit the vehicle in front of him.
“This truck came from Bandung to Jakarta driven by Dikdik Sepriatna. At first it hit a tank truck and also hit a tronton truck. Two drivers died,” he said.
The location of the incident, said Zanuar, was straight and descending.
The provisional guess is that the brakes have failed.
The tanker truck with police number B 9026 CFU was driven by Darlin, who came from the same direction and was pushed into a ditch.
Meanwhile, the tronton truck with police number E 9258 AE was stopping changing tires on the shoulder of the road.
