3 out of 4 cases and deaths have been confirmed in the “new normal”

This means that 76% of all cases accumulated in the almost five months that the pandemic has been in the country have been confirmed in the “new normal”.

In the case of deaths, something similar occurs: until this Friday, 42.6454 were confirmed –737 more than yesterday (1.8% more) -, with which 32,715 deaths have accumulated in the more fifty days of “new normality”, it is say 76% of all registered.

Amid the intensity of the epidemic, Mexico continues its gradual process of resuming economic and social activities, and this Friday presents the update of its epidemiological traffic light, the tool it uses to indicate what and to what extent it can be reactivated.

“The ‘new normal’ has not meant that the epidemic is over, simply what it meant is that we change our focus in order to regionalize the actions,” explained López-Gatell, who serves as the federal government’s spokesperson for the pandemic.
