Last week, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited several countries, including Ukraine and Russia, which are still in conflict with war. While in Europe, here are three German cars that protect Jokowi.
First, before going to Ukraine and Russia, Jokowi visited Germany to attend the G7 Summit. In Germany, Jokowi uses a BMW car. This is different from Jokowi’s official car in Indonesia which uses a Mercedes-Benz, even though both are German cars.
Judging from the Youtube Secretariat of the President, the German car that Jokowi used upon his arrival in Munich was a BMW 7 Series. As a state official, Jokowi used a BMW 7 Series Security Vehicle F02 with maximum protection for its passengers.
The BMW 7 Series Security Vehicle is made with special specifications that can ensure the safety of the important people inside. Citing the official website, the cars included in the BMW Security Vehicle are designed to withstand three major risks. This car is capable of withstanding 0.44 Magnum caliber bullets, warding off organized crime with the ability to block AK-47 class bullets, even explosive attacks.
The BMW 7 Series High Security is the first sedan in the world that can withstand VR7 bullets. While in the transparent area, it can be resistant to VR9 class bullets.
Not only that, the explosion from the grenade was able to be deflected. The windows have a special coating that prevents gunfire from entering.

BMW coated the glass and windows with special composite glass measuring 6 cm. The interior is also lined with polycarbonate to prevent debris from shot material from entering the passenger compartment.
The gas tank does not forget to be protected. The gas tank is protected with explosion-proof material. The tires also have run flat tires that allow the car to continue to go 50 km at a speed of 80 km / h even though the condition is very flat.
Talking about the specifications, BMW offers two engine options for the 7 Series High Security. These include the BMW 760Li High Security and the BMW 750Li High Security. The BMW 760Li High Security carries a larger engine with a capacity of 6,000 c V12. While the BMW 750Li High Security carries a 4,400 V8 engine. Both have a top speed that is electronically limited to 210 km/h.
The V12 engine in the 760Li High Security series is capable of spewing power up to 544 horsepower at 5,250 rpm with a peak torque of 750 Nm at 1,500 rpm. With an eight-speed automatic transmission, this car is capable of accelerating from rest to a speed of 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds.
While the V8 unit on the BMW 750Li High Security has a maximum power of 407 horsepower at 5,500-6,400 rpm with a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 1,750-4,500 rpm. With a six-speed automatic transmission, this car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
Apart from Germany, the BMW 7 Series is also used by Jokowi in Poland before taking the train to Ukraine.
