According to the East Brabant police, the perpetrator lashed out at the victim with a knife. Initially, the police received a report of a fight between two men and the victim, but it ended up being about an argument between two people. When the police arrived, the suspected perpetrator had disappeared. Emergency services arrived on the scene in a trauma helicopter to provide medical assistance, but Yassine died on the spot.
The suspect would have been a light-skinned man with light-colored shorts and a bare torso. “A major investigation was started immediately. The forensic police carried out a trace investigation on the street, and witnesses were heard immediately. The suspect could be arrested at his home in Eindhoven around 3.30 am, ”said East Brabant police.
