More than 250 breaches of the confinement rules were observed during the weekend in Walloon Brabant, we learned from the various police zones of the province.
The Waterloot police officers wrote 92 reports under the specific Covid-19 legislation. In particular, adolescents from neighboring municipalities were charged with performing bicycle stunts in the parking lot of a supermarket on the chaussée de Charleroi, a Saint-Gillois pretending to buy a pizza in the middle of the night and a resident of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre performing photos of the Lion of Waterloo.
A 34-year-old Ucclois was also arrested on Boulevard de la Cense, in possession of drugs and a thousand euros. A 32-year-old Brain driver was arrested in Braine-l’Alleud after a chase from the drève Richelle where he had crossed a traffic light in his red phase.
In the Ottignies / Louvain-la-Neuve area, the police drew up 80 reports under the specific Covid-19 legislation, mainly for inappropriate gatherings and trips, particularly at Lake Louvain-la-Neuve and in the wood of Lauzelle. Some 47 breaches of the confinement rules were again noted in the Nivelles / Genappe area and 28 in that of Mazerine.
