250 breaches of confinement observed this weekend in Walloon Brabant

More than 250 breaches of the confinement rules were observed during the weekend in Walloon Brabant, we learned from the various police zones of the province.

The Waterloot police officers wrote 92 reports under the specific Covid-19 legislation. A 34-year-old Ucclois was also arrested on Boulevard de la Cense, in possession of drugs and a thousand euros. A 32-year-old Brain driver was arrested in Braine-l’Alleud after a chase from the drève Richelle where he had crossed a traffic light in his red phase.

In the Ottignies / Louvain-la-Neuve area, the police drew up 80 reports under the specific Covid-19 legislation, mainly for inappropriate gatherings and trips, particularly at Lake Louvain-la-Neuve and in the wood of Lauzelle. Some 47 breaches of the confinement rules were again noted in the Nivelles / Genappe area and 28 in that of Mazerine.
