According to the social authority, 249 new corona cases were registered on Saturday.
That is 15 more than on Friday and 45 more than on Saturday a week ago, as the authority announced. According to the authorities, a total of 46,272 people in Hamburg have tested positive for the corona virus since the pandemic began. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 38,800 of these can now be regarded as recovered.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days is 95.4 New infections. The limit of 50 per 100,000 inhabitants (for Hamburg this is 950 cases) was exceeded in the 43rd calendar week in October.
Slightly fewer corona patients in hospitals
According to the social welfare authority – as of Saturday – 416 corona patients are being treated in Hamburg’s hospitals, 3 fewer than the day before. 84 of them are under intensive care – one case less than the day before. According to the RKI, 1,066 people have died in connection with Covid 19 in the Hanseatic city since the beginning of the pandemic, 29 deaths more than last reported.
