A 22 year old boy named Arona Diarra was killed by lightning this afternoon in Ndoffane. This, following the heavy rains which fell in the locality.
According to our source, the young Diarra, who would be a pupil in first grade, was with 4 other individuals aboard a cart on the road to the fields towards Keur Baka.
As torrential rain threatened, they took shelter under a tree (Dimb) and this is how the irreparable happened.
An electronic shock fell on the tree and took one of them. The others, 4 in number, escaped with minor injuries, reports our interlocutor.
