In Italy, at least since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic 564.778 people (+21.994* compared to yesterday, + 4.1%; yesterday +17,012) contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus. Of these, 37,700 died (+221, + 0.6%; yesterday +141) and 271,988 were discharged (+3.362, + 1.3%; yesterday +2.423). Currently the positive subjects of which there is certainty are 255,090 (+18.406, + 7.8%; yesterday +14.443) and are visible in the fifth column from the right of the table above; the count rises to 564,778 – as mentioned above – if there are also dead and cured people in the calculation, counting all the people who have been found positive for the virus since the beginning of the epidemic.

I hospitalized patients with symptoms are 13.955 (+958, + 7.4%; yesterday +991), while the most seriously ill in intensive care I’m 1.411 (+127, + 9.9%; yesterday +76). These data are visible in the table above, in the left columns next to the names of the Regions. The number of hospitalized patients is what worries the most, because at the moment it is very close to that of the most critical phase: for example, the first day of freedom from lockdown, on May 4th, there were 16,823 hospitalized and 1,487 in intensive care, when the Covid wards were emptying.
