According to the Hamburg social authority, 209 new corona cases were registered on Tuesday. That’s 3 more than Tuesday a week ago.
According to the authorities, a total of 46,771 people in Hamburg have tested positive for the corona virus since the pandemic began. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 39,900 of these can now be regarded as recovered.
The incidence value is 86.3
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days rose minimally to 86.3. On Monday this value was 86.1, but a week ago it was 94.6.
“No scope for relaxation”
Overall, Hamburg has been almost on the spot for two weeks with regard to new corona infections. There was no rapid decline, instead the numbers fluctuated very slowly. The incidence value has fluctuated between 80 and 100 since mid-January. Hamburg is also making hardly any progress with the so-called R value. The value shows how many people a single infected person infects on average. It has to fall well below 1 in order for the number of sick people to decrease, but it currently fluctuates around 1. For this reason, the Senate currently sees no scope for relaxation.
