A record number of new infections has been detected in Lithuania during the day.
In 143 cases in Lithuania, the infection occurred after contact with patients, epidemiologists indicated. Specialists have not been able to determine the conditions of infection in 57 people.
Five imported cases were detected during the day. Two people have returned from Finland, one each from Moldova, Belarus and Great Britain.
The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Lithuania is the same as the day before – 103. The number of people who have contracted Covid-19 but died of other causes has also remained unchanged at 22.
According to the Lithuanian National Center for Public Health, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population on October 10 in Lithuania is 59.7.
In Estonia, 1,815 tests were analyzed per day, with a positive result in 37 cases.
There were no new Covid-19-related deaths in Estonia last day, and the total number of such deaths since the beginning of the epidemic is the same as the day before – 68.
According to the Estonian Department of Health, the 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population in Estonia on October 10 is 51.32.
