2022 car incentives at the start, decree in the Gazzetta – Guide to Purchases

The incentives for green cars and motorbikes are launched today, with the publication in the Official Gazette. The ecobonus.mise.gov.it platform, where dealers can book contributions, reopens from 10 am on Wednesday 25 May, but the contracts will be valid immediately. “I am satisfied that the automotive incentives finally become operational. It is a measure that I strongly wanted. A breath of fresh air for a sector in distress, but also an opportunity for a change towards sustainable mobility that also enhances our sector industry “comments the minister Giancarlo Giorgetti. For the incentives, 650 million euros have been allocated for each of the years 2022, 2023 and 2024, which are among the resources approved by the Government in the Automotive Fund for which a total financial endowment of 8.7 billion euros is envisaged until 2030. In particular, the 650 million euros for 2022 are divided as follows: 220 million euros for electric cars, 225 million euros for plug-in hybrids, 170 million euros for low-emission endothermic engines. For motorcycles and mopeds 10 million have been allocated for non-electric ones and 15 million for electric ones, while 10 million euros are allocated to commercial vehicles of categories N1 and N2. Whoever buys cars and motorcycles with the incentive will have to keep the property for 12 months if he is a natural person and 24 months if he is a legal person.

Even if the price lists could change in the next few hours, due to the arrival of the incentives that in many cases will replace those practiced by the houses, here are some examples of the possible savings.

Among the diesels the best-selling model in April was the Peugeot 3008 BlueHDi 130 S&S Allure which costs 36,000 euros and emits 104 g / km of CO2. It falls within the range of traditional low-emission engines (61-135 g / km) and prices up to 35 thousand euros excluding VAT. So it will benefit from a reduction of 2,000 euros but only with scrapping. The Fiat 500X 1.6 TD (26,400 euros and 121 g / km of CO2) and the Jeep Compass Longitude (32,900 euros and 135 g / km of CO2), which are in second and third place on the market, will also obtain an incentive, again with scrapping, of 2,000 euros.

Even the Mhev or Hev petrol hybrids will have access to the 2,000 euro bonus. This bonus will be applied to the best-selling model in April, the Fiat Panda 1.0 FireFly 70Cv S&S Hybrid (13,850 euros, 111-109 g / km of CO2), to the Toyota Yaris Hybrid (24,950 euros, 115 g / km of CO2) and to the Lancia Ypsilon (14,000 euros, 110/112 g / km of CO2), second and third respectively.

For plug-in hybrid models that can travel up to 60-70 km in 100% electric mode. The bonus with scrapping reaches 4,000 euros. This is the discount for the Jeep Compass 4xe Phev whose price list of 45.890 euros falls within the range of the provision (45 thousand + VAT), the Jeep Renegade 4xe Phev (38.550) and the Bmw X1 Phev (46.499)

The greatest benefits are obtained by purchasing a 100% electric model. The best-selling of April, the Nuova 500 Elettrica benefits from a total bonus of € 5,000 with scrapping and therefore goes from € 27,300 to € 22,300, as long as no new programs by the manufacturer are involved also on the financing front. Same benefits for the second best-selling electric, the Smart Eq Fortwo (starts at € 25,026) and the third, that is, the Dacia Spring EV (€ 22,103) which drops to just over € 17,000.
