Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Ducati Racers, Francesco Bagnaia managed to lock the second position in the drivers standings after coming out as champion MotoGP Algarve Portugal 2021 at the Algarve International Circuit, Sunday (7/11) night WIB.

Bagnaia only lost first place at the start of the race. After that, the Italian racer was unstoppable after winning the title at the MotoGP Algarve Portugal 2021.

Bagnaia led almost all races in this series. The speed of the motorbike that Bagnaia was riding made it difficult for Joan Mir who finished second.

Bagnaia also came out victorious when the race was stopped in the remaining two laps. The red flag was flown because of the incident involving Miguel Oliveira and Iker Lecuona.

Additional maximum points, namely 25 points, made Bagnaia lock the second position in the drivers’ standings. Pecco confirmed that he was under Fabio Quartararo who had already confirmed the world title during the race at the Emilia Romagna MotoGP.

Bagnaia currently has 227 points. He is 35 points ahead of Mir who is in second place.

Meanwhile, the reigning MotoGP 2020 champion, Mir will also definitely occupy the third position of the riders this season. With a difference of 30 points from Jack Miller, Mir will no longer be able to catch up with Bagnaia’s teammate.
