- The company Rosemood offers thousands of models of announcement and greeting card online, to customize.
- Originality, it offers its customers to proofread and correct the text, the photo, or the layout, before printing.
- A formula that attracts since the company has achieved 8 million euros of turnover in 2018.
"Full of good things for 2019! While you only have about ten days to wish your loved ones the best for the new year, it's the rush to
Rosemood workshop. This Nantes-based company, which specializes in producing and printing bespoke announcements and greeting cards, has once again seen demand explode this year. "We have 30% more orders, which represents several hundred thousand copies, smiles Grégoire Monconduit, 45, co-founder of Rosemood. Send a nice printed card, it's a real message of affection, it shows that we made an effort. Much more than with an electronic greeting card, often cheap ! "
While some may find the approach outdated, Rosemood asserts the contrary, arguing that "it is a beautiful object that is manufactured." Demand is even stronger for marriage and birth announcements. Online, the customer first chooses a model from thousands of different designs, sizes and colors. Exit the fir trees or small cats, here we find floral patterns, pretty typography, "square" formats, and room for family photos, just download yourself on the site.
And it is just before printing (in his printing works located in Treillères near Nantes) that Rosemood pulls out of the game: for the same price (on average between 1 and 1.50 euro the copy), the text is corrected by the teams of proofreaders and graphic designers, who can also propose
to retouch or crop a photo to improve the result. One project out of two would be spoiled by at least one misspelling ... "They offered to clarify the photo and change the layout. Indeed, it was much better! "Says Morgane, a 32-year-old Parisian client.
More than a hundred employees
The formula seems to appeal since eight years after its launch, Rosemood continues to show impressive growth. With 8 million euros of turnover in 2018, the company employs 120 employees and does not intend to stop there. In addition to announcements, birthday invitations and other thank you cards, last year Rosemood launched the photo albums, "many more copies of which have already been sold". A novelty that could allow the company, whose premises are located in the district of creation on the island of Nantes, to reach 10 million in 2019.
By the time of the next big peak of activity (an influx of album orders is planned for Mother's Day), the designers of the team will continue to work on the new patterns or colors trend to launch for 2019 (on can already tell you that the "Tuscan green" and the "nude pink", for example, will dethrone the turquoise). Already present in Germany and England (20% of the market), the company also hopes to continue its development internationally.
