About one billion euros: this is the turnover that the vignette manufacturer Panini has achieved in 2018, almost double 2017, thanks to the explosion of sales related to the World Cup football, won by France.
"The Panini Group will reach in 2018 a turnover of about one billion euros thanks to the World, almost double the 536 million of 2017," said Tuesday the head of the Italian market group, Antonio Allegra, according to reported by the Italian Radiocor agency.
He was speaking at the presentation of the new album of the Italian Football Championship, which features on the cover the faces of Ronaldo, Icardi and Higuain. Panini's turnover fluctuates a lot according to the competitions planned for the year and goes off at each World Cup. In 2014, it reached 758 million euros.

"Thumbnails are a passion for everyone, and not just the male audience, as shown by the number of active collectors, who are about 1.5 million including one million young people or children," said the boss of the Italian brand.
Panini was founded in 1961 by four brothers in Modena, northern Italy. His albums are sold in 120 countries and the group employs more than a thousand people worldwide.
