Days after the snap announced the exit of its CFO. Reports have revealed that the company's HR chief was asked to fire its global security chief after an internal investigation late last year.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Snap dismissed global security chief Francis Racioppi at the end of last year, after an investigation found he was having an inappropriate relationship with an outside contractor he had hired. After the end of the relationship Racioppi announced the contract of the woman.
Racioppi denied any wrongdoing in a commentary to the journal. A report by Cheddar adds that one of Racioppi's assistants was fired for attempting to cover up the scandal.
The findings of the investigation reportedly prompted CEO Evan Spiegel to ask the company's chief human officer, Jason Halbert, to step down. Halbert announced his plans to leave the company this week.
While today's news is forcing two high-profile executive directors into a single incident, Snap's management team seems to be losing talent from its ranks with increasing speed.
Snap did not comment on the reports.
