A viral video shows Daniel Taylor grabbing Yasmine James' shirt and trying to throw it on the counter after he asked for a cigarette at a McDonald's in St. Petersburg last week. James hit him several times in the face.

Taylor was charged with two counts of simple battery. The police say he also kicked another worker.

The Fight by $ 15 group says it will attack during lunchtime on Tuesday to demand that fast-food chains protect workers from security threats.

The McDonald's employee, Gail Rogers said in a statement that she plans to attack because she does not feel safe at work. She says that workers are subject to all kinds of behavior, including sexual harassment.
