Madison, Wisconsin - Johnsonville LLC has recalled more than 21,800 kilograms of raw, frozen pork pastes that may be contaminated with materials such as black gum.

The US Department of Agriculture and Food Inspection has announced the company's recall in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.

The material was manufactured and packaged on September 27, October 17, and October 18, 2018, with the name Johnsonville Grillers, Cheddar Cheese, and Bacon Flavor. Best-by dates are the 24th of July, the 13th of August and the 14th of August 2019, and the founding number 34225 is printed on the box below the expiration date.

The agency claimed to have received three consumer complaints about black gum in the sausage.
