Hanafi Laila Koura: Objections are not the reason for canceling contractors' goal

Mohamed Hanafi, the referee of the match between the Arab Contractors and the Stars in the 20th round of the Premier League, said the goal he canceled during the meeting was not because of the objections.

Al-Hanafi canceled a goal for the Arab Contractors' Club after being counted in the 2-2 draw.

"I declined to count the goal after the assistant told me not to correct it," Hanafi said.

"What does it mean to cancel a goal because of an electrical technician objecting to his health?"

The club's technical staff objected to the calculation of the goal, before the referee canceled, while the Contractors Club said that the referee helped to restore the game on the stadium cameras to make sure the goal is not true.

"If the referee cancels goals as a result of the objections of the technical bodies, no goal will be counted," Hanafi said.
