2,000 gathered at St. Hanshaugen in Oslo

The police in Oslo estimate that there were close to 2,000 people on St. Hanshaugen around 1 o’clock on Sunday night, and that the crowd was reduced to around 600 a little before 02.30.

– There are a lot of people who are gathered, and a lot of young people and many are intoxicated. There is very little focus on infection control, and a good deal of music. A little loud at times, says operations manager Gjermund Stokkli in the Oslo police district VG.

However, the atmosphere has been good and people have followed the police order to calm down.

To Dagbladet , who wrote about the gathering first, Stokkli states that there were almost 1,000 people gathered in Frognerparken. However, people need to follow the infection control rules better.

– In Frognerparken, fireworks have also been fired on a couple of occasions. It is not allowed, but we have not received any reports that people are injured, says Stokkli.
