Around 100 young people celebrated a birthday party in Niederurnen on Saturday. As the «Glarus News» report on Thursday, two Glarus residents rented the Jakobsblick event venue together. As a result, one of these men claimed that his wallet was stolen. To get it back, the men would have driven all the party guests into the restaurant and blocked the doors. The mood was heated. There were violent acts because some guests did not put up with it. “Some were afraid, others tried to fight back,” says the witness.

Police investigated

Anyone who wanted to leave the restaurant, their things had been searched, bags had been ransacked and the wallet had to be shown.

Then there was a fight outside. Three men from the group would have stepped on a guest who was already lying on the floor. Someone wanted to help him, so he was beaten too. The police came less later.

A media release from the Glarus cantonal police says that there was an active argument between the young people at 0:30 a.m. The dispute arose for reasons that have not yet been clarified. As a result, several young people became palpable against two party guests, whereupon these

were hurt. The called police were able to calm the situation. The investigation is underway.
