The so-called dark mode at Whatsapp is now available for beta users of the app on Android phones. But all other users should not have to wait long before they can use dark mode.

This can then be activated in the settings within the app under «Chats». There you will see the “Theme” option. If you click on it, you can choose between dark mode, a light mode, a system standard mode and a battery saving mode, such as Wabetainfo.com writes.
Bright mode is the look you are used to from Whatsapp. However, the dark mode changes the background color of the entire app to black and makes the font white and green. The colors also change within the chats. While other people’s text messages appear dark gray, your own messages turn dark green.
Automatic adjustment
If you select the system standard mode, the app automatically recognizes whether the entire phone is in a dark mode or a light mode. It automatically adapts to changes in the system. This also happens if you have switched on the battery-saving mode and put the phone into economy mode. Then the app goes dark.
It is not yet clear when dark mode will be available to all users on both Android and iOS. The fact that Whatsapp has already activated the function for beta users suggests that it won’t be long.
