The doctors took the musician Dagmar Turner out of anesthesia after opening the skull of the 53-year-old. Then they asked Turner to play the violin during Operation, the English media reported.
The reason: The team of experts around Professor Keyoumars Ashkan at King’s College Hospital in London wanted to prevent injuring regions of the brain that are responsible for fine motor skills and thus for their violin playing.
Turner, who plays in a symphony orchestra, played music during the entire operation, in which over 90 percent of a tumor could be removed. She was diagnosed in 2013.
